Councillors support Mayor's charity for homelessness

key_acton_homeless_concern.pngSouthfield Liberal Democrats helped to organise a quiz night to raise money for Ealing Council's Mayoral charity, Acton Homeless Concern. Councillor Gary Malcolm's team won the quiz and many hundreds of pounds was raised for the charity.

The Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Dr Patricia Walker, is devoting all her fundraising efforts to support the Acton Homeless Concern, which reaches out across the entire Borough to 1300 clients a week, offering food, clothing, hot showers and medical services.

The Mayor of Ealing said: "It is tragic that rough sleeping has risen across London in recent years. We had hoped that the sight of such significant numbers of people sleeping on the streets of the capital was something that had been consigned to the history of the 1980's."

Your Southfield Councillors support her in her good cause. Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "We encourage you to give generously, if you can, to help those who need help."
