Cllr Jon Ball, Ealing Lib Dem Chief Whip, commenting on the Ealing Conservatives' decision to advertise for candidates to stand on their behalf in the next Council elections said "Just over a decade ago the Conservatives controlled Ealing Council. Now it appears that they can't even persuade 69 of their own members to stand under the Conservative banner in the Council elections!

"The Conservatives are the party of the past in Ealing. Why don't they give up trying to present themselves as an opposition that is capable of replacing the failed Labour administration and leave that task to the only Party that is growing in terms of membership and support locally - the Liberal Democrats?"
