It's Lib Dem or Labour in Ealing Southall

The Liberal Democrats have been tipped as the challengers to Labour in the Ealing Southall Parliamentary by-election.

The independent and authoritative Press Association's Elections Editor Chris Mead has said, "The constituency ... would look to be a two-horse race between Labour and Liberal Democrats, who leapt into second place at the 2005 general election."

This follows the verdict of ePolitix.com who wrote, "With a 2005 Labour majority of 11,440 it would be considered safe at a general election, but is likely to be keenly contested by the Liberal Democrats."
