A recent report said that NHS cyber-attacks on Ealing Hospital was avoidable.

Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "Advanced warnings were given to all hospitals many months before the attacks took place and it is very sad that the government did not fund IT investment to ensure that hospital services were not affected."

Councillor Gary Malcolm added: "Deaths due to the cyber attacks can be leveled at the Conservative government who have reduced budgets meaning that many hospitals and doctors' surgeries cannot afford protection from IT attacks. Every death from these types of attacks can be said to be the fault of the Conservative government. I hope they invest in our NHS rather than downgrade our services."
