Petition: Give priority to Ealing's Cinema and open it as soon as possible.

    1,253 signatures

The estimated completion date has just slipped back by another year and we are going to have to wait until 2020. The saga continues.

Ealing Common candidate in the local election, Craig O'Donnell said "Ealing has a long and distinguished history of film making. We deserve a Cinema."

Ealing has been without a cinema for almost a decade. The site has changed hands twice because the developer has decided not to start construction.  Now we have further delays.

Will you sign our petition to the developers St George?

We the undersigned call upon Michael Bryn-Jones, Managing Director of St George PLC to make the construction of the already planned Filmworks scheme a priority, and to open the new cinema as soon as possible.

Note that the original petition text was "We the undersigned call upon Michael Bryn-Jones, Managing Director of St George PLC to make the construction of the already planned Filmworks scheme a priority, announce a completion date, and provide reassurances that there is still interest from Picturehouse Cinemas to run the venue."

We will include your name and address when submitting the petition to Ealing Council and St George PLC.

  • Do you want to be a part of the Neigbourhood Watch (NHW) scheme in Southfield ward?

In Southfield there are lots of Neighbourhood Watch schemes covering a lot of streets. However not every street is covered and it would be great to have more volunteers.

Neighbourhood Watch coordinators tend to inform neighbours of any recent crimes to residents in their street. Some hold meetings with the police and ward Councillors to pass on tips about reducing crimes such as theft from motor cars and burglary.
