Meet Craig

Craig O'Donnell

The Liberal Democrat candidate fighting for a fair deal for Ealing North on July 4th.

Craig was born and raised in Ealing, and has family connections in the constituency across three generations - first living in Perivale, and attending the local St John Fishers RC school, then subsequently studiying at Ealing College. His first full time was employment was in Hawkins Bazaar (a toy shop in Ealing shopping centre).  After spending years working in hospitality, Craig now works in politics and wants to prove to others that being working class does not stop people from participating in democracy.

Craig was a Liberal Democrat candidate in the local elections in 2014 and 2018. He has led and supported campaigns across the Borough, including the campaign to bring back the long delayed Ealing cinema; to keep the Ealing police station open; to retain the Carlton Road Day Care Centre; and to save Ealing Hospital from closure.

Because Craig has family members with disabilities, he truly understands how important it is to have a robust NHS system and how valuable carers are within the fabric of our society. His priorities are to deliver the Liberal Democrat policy of a legal guarantee of seeing your GP within a week, and providing a higher pay for carers with a "Carers Minimum Wage".

Craig is also passionate about restoring proper community policing, and solving long-term homelessness by scrapping the cruel "Vagrancy Act" and having an intergrated approach by working with the Council, police, charity groups and the NHS.

If elected, Craig will be a hardworking, local MP who will listen to you, put your needs first and stand up for you to provide the fair deal Ealing North needs.
