Electing New Councillor Lakhbir Singh means three Lib Dem Councillors in Ealing Common Ward

Councillor Lakhbir Singh

I am very grateful to the residents of Ealing Common Ward for electing me as their Councillor in May 2026. Now we have the full team of three Liberal Democrat Councillors, Councillor Jon Ball, Councillor Connie Hersch and myself, Councillor Lakhbir Singh, to represent our residents at the London Borough of Ealing Council.

I have previously been elected Councillor for Luton Borough 1999-2011 and Mayor of Luton in 2008-2009. I have been very much involved in the Local Community here in Ealing since moving here in 2012.

Following the election in May 2026, I have been very active alongside my ward colleagues. My vision is to make Ealing Cleaner, Greener, and Safer to live and work in.  I walk the ward every day and report any defects and fly-tipping promptly. I also attend ward Surgery at the University of West London campus, which takes place every second Saturday of the month 2pm to 3pm.

I began working on casework immediately after the elections and resolved five issues in favour of my ward residents – who have been delighted. I feel intrinsically rewarded when I can help people and resolve their problems.  So far, I have attended some training courses and two full Council Meetings. I shall also be working on Planning Committee, Children Safety Panel, Ward Police Panel, Resident Associations in the Ealing Common ward and shall be attending other Community activities.

I can be reached by Council email: lakhbir.singh@ealing.gov.uk and phone number 0208 825 8973.
