Lib Dems call for Parks Councillor to resign over Lammas Park SuDS scandal
Ealing Liberal Democrats have issued an open letter (attached) requesting that Councillor Paul Driscoll resign over the lack of progress on the Lammas Park SuDS project.
From the letter, you can see residents have lost faith in the Council and the portfolio holder for the many issues and mistakes that have been made,
including:
- Parents worried about the safety of their children using the park.
- Large sections of the park closed or out of use.
- Planning permission not sought when needed.
- The project is still not completed after about two years of work on Lammas Park.
Liberal Democrat Leader of the Opposition, Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "Liberal Democrats say that residents do not faith in him. The comments in local Facebook groups show that people are not impressed with how long the project has gone on, as well as the number of errors and issues. The gaslighting by rebranding the project as a ‘wet land’ is farcical. What we want is for him to take responsibility and resign so the park can be brought back into use so families can use it as soon as possible as the opening appears to be kept being pushed back."
